At Cedar Bend Labradoodles, our Guardian Program ensures that each dog in our breeding program receives the love, attention, and family life they deserve.

This program also gives families the opportunity to welcome an Australian Labradoodle into their home without the upfront cost of purchasing a pet puppy.

Pet Puppy Price: $3,000 + tax
Guardian Puppy Cost: $0

 

What Is the Guardian Program?

When we have a prospective breeding dog (male or female), we carefully select an approved guardian home for them to live with as a beloved family pet.

Our guardian families provide a permanent, loving home while we retain breeding rights for a set period of time.

 

Guardian Family Responsibilities

Guardian families are financially responsible for the same day-to-day care as they

would be for any family pet, including:

• High-quality food 

• Routine veterinary care

• Grooming
  
  Our guardians are also expected to do basic obedience, daily exercise, and provide ample  socialization opportunities for their puppy

Cedar Bend Labradoodles covers all breeding-related expenses.

 

Female Guardian Dogs

When a female reaches breeding age:

• She comes to our home for her honeymoon

• She returns to your home during her pregnancy.

• She comes back to our home to deliver and raise her puppies.

After the puppies are weaned and have gone to their forever homes, she returns to you.

Guardian families receive $400 for each successful litter.

 

Male Guardian Dogs (Studs)

If you are the guardian for a male:

• He will come to our home to honeymoon with the female.

• His stay may range from one day to several days.

Guardian families receive $100 per successful litter he produces.

 

Retirement From the Program

When your dog has completed their time in our breeding program, he or she will be required to be spayed or neutered, and returned to you to live the rest of their life as your family companion.

• Live (or work) in Cedar Falls, Iowa

• Provide a stable, loving home environment

• Have prior dog experience
